About Toni Geller
My interest in art was fostered early on by my mother who was an art teacher. Although I've been creating for as long as I can remember, it wasn't until I found an atlas of the human anatomy at my local library that the subject matter of my work became clear to me, I fell in love with the flowing lines and complex structures of the body and face. I began to strive to capture the beauty of the human figure, anatomy, mind, body, and spirit. However, in this pursuit I often found myself wondering how our minds and bodies may change over time as our relationship with technology deepens. Thus landing upon this mantra that makes up the central theme of all my work

The physical, The digital, The soul

These are the three things you will see while looking at my work. The way the unseen and unexperienced interacts with the human body and how that impacts our identities, morality, and consciousness. This is expressed both in the result and the process which requires a great deal of interaction between my body and machine intelligence and vice versa, Leaving you, the viewer, to watch as I create a digital copy of my psyche.
I believe that in the future the human consciousness will be able to be digitally copied at which point we will cease to be human and become something much bigger, but what will this be?
